About Prof. Dr. De Vogelaere
In 1993, Prof Dr De Vogelaere obtained her degree of ‘Doctor of Medicine, Surgery, and Obstetrics’ from the VUB Brussels and in 1999 she became a surgeon. She studied at Vlerick University College in Leuven, where she obtained the degree of ‘General and Financial Management’ and then became Medical Manager of Dilbeek Polyclinic (2007) and Meiser Polyclinic in Schaarbeek (2012). On 13 July 2013, she successfully completed her PhD (degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences). She started her career at UZ Brussel in 1999, where she further specialised in slimming techniques and became responsible for the UZ Brussel Obesity Clinic department.
In mid-2015, she decided to end the cooperation with UZ Brussel in order to be able to fully focus on further developing her specialisation as an independent surgeon. Since 1 July 2015, she obtained her accreditation at the renowned E.Cavell Hospital and works only in a private setting, surrounded by a well-oiled team, in order to provide her patients with optimal personalised care, tailored to each patient. Prof Dr De Vogelaere also has several publications to her credit.
