What is a Thread lift or collagen thread lift?

Thread lift or collagen thread lift, is an innovative, minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that does not require major surgery. In this treatment, soluble sutures are placed under the skin to lift and tighten it. These wires simultaneously stimulate collagen production, contributing to firmer and more youthful-looking skin. This allows facial contours to be redefined and gives you a refreshed appearance.

How it works.

Our thread lift uses bidirectional soluble polylactic acid cones that support the skin in two ways: by lifting the skin and by promoting collagen production. These threads dissolve naturally in the body and do not need to be removed, making the procedure even simpler.

Advantages of the thread lift:

• Minimally invasive: offers an effective solution with less risk and recovery time compared to traditional facelifts.
• Collagen stimulation: promotes the natural production of collagen, ensuring long-lasting youthful results.
• Safe and dissolvable: the threads are fully dissolvable, eliminating the need for surgical removal.

Suitable for:

• Younger patients: ideal for those who want to address the first signs of ageing in the face due to sagging tissues.
• Patients after facelift: perfect for those who have previously had a facelift and now seek a minimally invasive refreshment.
• Those who do not want an extensive facelift: suitable for those who prefer a less invasive procedure under local anaesthetic.

All You Need to Know About a Wire Lift

Who is this procedure suitable for?

A thread lift is an ideal choice for people who are starting to notice that the skin on their face, neck or other parts of the body is starting to sag. This can include mild to moderate skin ageing, where the skin feels less tight and elastic. The thread lift is an attractive option for those who do not want to undergo a full surgical facelift, but still want a visible improvement in skin tightness and contour.

Why choose a thread lift?

• For the first signs of ageing: it is particularly suitable for people who do not yet need intensive surgery but want to work towards a more youthful appearance.
• Minimally invasive: for those who prefer a less invasive procedure with a short recovery time.
• Subtle and natural results: suitable for both men and women who want a refined improvement of their skin without drastic changes.

Accessible from the age of 18, the thread lift treatment offers a safe and effective way to combat skin ageing and improve the natural contours of the face.

What is the procedure for a collagen thread lift treatment?

A collagen thread lift is a quick and efficient treatment that usually takes less than an hour. After the procedure, you can immediately resume your daily activities.

01

Consultation

Treatment begins with a consultation with a qualified doctor or cosmetic aesthetic surgeon. During this appointment, you will discuss your expectations, wishes and the possible results of the thread lift.

02

Preparation

On the day of the procedure, your skin is carefully disinfected. The doctor marks the areas where the thread lift will be placed. Local anaesthesia is applied through small injections, making the procedure completely painless.

03

Insertion of the wires

A fine needle is used to insert soluble suture wires under the skin. These wires contain tiny cones that grip the skin and lift when tightening.

04

Donning and positioning

The doctor gently tightens the wires to achieve the desired lift and then cuts off the excess wire. Immediately after positioning, this creates a subtle, natural lifting effect and tightens the skin.

Result: In the first weeks after treatment, the thread with cones supports the lifting effect. After a few weeks, your own collagen takes over the supporting role, further enhancing the lifting effect. As the threads dissolve, this stimulates the body to produce more collagen, causing the skin to settle into its new position.
The treatment takes between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on the area treated. You can go home the same day.

What are the benefits of a thread lift?

A thread lift offers numerous benefits, the effects of which increase over time as collagen production takes off. Here are some of the main benefits:

• Minimal invasiveness: no large incisions required and no extensive recovery time. The treatment is much less invasive than traditional surgery.
• Quick procedure: the thread lift can be performed in less than an hour, making it an efficient solution for skin rejuvenation.
• Natural results: the result is subtle and natural, without the ‘exaggerated’ effect that can sometimes occur with other procedures.
• Quick recovery: the recovery phase is faster than with a traditional facelift, allowing you to quickly resume your daily activities.
• Stimulation of collagen: the treatment stimulates the production of collagen, which improves skin structure in the long term and ensures sustainable skin rejuvenation.
