Thread lift or collagen thread lift, is an innovative, minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that does not require major surgery. A collagen thread lift is a quick and efficient treatment that usually takes less than an hour. After the procedure, you can immediately resume your daily activities.
Treatment begins with a consultation with a qualified doctor or cosmetic aesthetic surgeon. During this appointment, you will discuss your expectations, wishes and the possible results of the thread lift.
On the day of the procedure, your skin is carefully disinfected. The doctor marks the areas where the thread lift will be placed. Local anaesthesia is applied through small injections, making the procedure completely painless.
A fine needle is used to insert soluble suture wires under the skin. These wires contain tiny cones that grip the skin and lift when tightening.
The doctor gently tightens the wires to achieve the desired lift and then cuts off the excess wire. Immediately after positioning, this creates a subtle, natural lifting effect and tightens the skin.
Result: In the first weeks after treatment, the thread with cones supports the lifting effect. After a few weeks, your own collagen takes over the supporting role, further enhancing the lifting effect.
