Fat globules

A fat bump or fat globule (lipoma) is a smooth and round subcutaneous lump. You can usually move the fat bump back and forth easily. The lump is made up of fat cells. Fat bumps usually feel soft when you press on them. Fat bumps can stay small or grow bigger. A fat bump is harmless and can be left alone. If they bother you, you can have them removed.

Fatty lumps are very common. They are usually small but can be up to 10 centimetres in size. Fatty lumps are often on the neck, upper back, arms or abdomen. But you can also get fatty lumps in other places.

At I Care Clinic, we remove fat globules through a minor surgical procedure.
